CyberAlert, Inc., the worldwide online news monitoring, press clipping, TV news monitoring and social media monitoring service, today announced the award of 20 Public Relations (PR) Grants for 2010 to Not-for-Profit Organizations in the United States and Canada. Each grant is for one free year of CyberAlert 4.0 Online News Monitoring Service, which monitors 42,000+ online news sources worldwide in 50+ languages in 189 countries. Award winners may also opt to receive CyberAlert’s TV news monitoring service or social media monitoring service including the BlogSquirrel blog monitoring service and Netpinions, a service that monitors message boards and forums.

In announcing the award recipients, William J. Comcowich, president and CEO of CyberAlert stated: "We're very pleased that CyberAlert can effectively help these not-for-profit organizations monitor their public relations successes as they carry on their vital services.”

The total retail value of this year's grants exceeds $75,000. Since starting the PR Grants program in 2004, CyberAlert has awarded a total of 142 media monitoring grants to not-for-profit organizations with a retail value of more than $375,000.

The 2009 award recipients are located in nine different states (AL, CA, CO, IL, MD, MO, NY, OR, TX), the District of Columbia, and one Canadian province (Ontario). The recipients range from major organizations such as National Wildlife Federation to smaller service and advocacy groups such as Redlight Children’s Campaign and Operation Gratitude.
